Sporting SAD at a loss of 7.8 million euros

Sporting SAD released this Sunday in a statement sent to Market Commission (CMVM), the accounts for the first half of the season, showing losses of 7.8 million.

The SAD's administration justifies that values with "sports scores lower than would normally be expected, especially regarding to the National League."
"They have decisively influenced, compared with the half of previous year, once we haven't obtained the qualification for the Champions League" -can also be read in the statement.

Operating costs fell 15.4%, to 20.1 million, and the transfers results of passes of players, was negative in 525 thousand euros, compared with a surplus of 6.1 million euros a year earlier.

That caused a deterioration in operating results, which were negative at 5.76 million euros, against a positive value in the same period from 454 thousand euros. On the positive side, the financial costs fell 46% to 1.24 million.

The company remains in breach of art. 35, of the Companies Act, as the capital underlined the deteriorating trend, and is now at a negative value of 23.8 million, representing an increase of 49%.
The total debt is now of 142 million euros.
