Platini says "FC Porto is not cheater"

The president of UEFA as an end to the controversy which has lasted for more than two years and almost excluded the club of Dragons of Champions League 2008/2009.

"We now know that Porto is not cheater. The case was closed with new UEFA regulations [of access to European competition].All that happened before 2007 is over, and we will not continue our investigations", advanced Michel Platini today.

The controversy arose after FC Porto having been convicted in Portuguese sports court for two attempted of bribery, and Michel Platini at the time supported the exclusion of the blue-white club of Champions League, stating that "this competition should be forbidden to 'cheaters'".
