World Cup stage groups draw

Portugal will be in pot 4, with Denmark, France, Greece, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland for the groups draw of World Cup of 2010.

According the statement issued by FIFA after the conclusion of meeting, in pot 2 will be placed Asia teams , such as Australia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, the North and Central Americans and the Caribbean - USA, Honduras, Mexico, and the Oceania's representative , New Zealand.

In Pot 3 will be the teams in Africa and the Middle East: Algeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The local organizing committee also decided that the groups will be designated A through H and the positions of countries in your group will be drawn from pots 2 and 4, and the countries positions in their group, will be drawn from pots 2 and 4.

Geographical criteria have also be token in account, which means that two nations that belong to same confederation will not be drawn to the same group,with exception of European teams, and even these only two of them may be in the same group.

FIFA will award the best young footballer of World Cup 2010, which will be elected by the Technical Study Group of FIFA,composed of technicians and analysts, led by former Swiss international Jean Paul Brigger.
