Luz tunel: Porto counteracts

A news of agency Lusa and dissemination of images of the tunnel of stadium of Light are generating a wave of reactions in Portuguese football. Concerned are incidents in the tunnel after the game Benfica-FC Porto, held in the 2008/09 season.

In the news now widely disseminated by various media, the agency Lusa reports on the complaints of Acacio Valentim, team-manager of FC Porto, who now says, was victim of aggression, August 30, 2008, when game between Benfica and FC Porto, in Light.

Luz' club reacted quickly to the news, stating that it will submit a complaint against Lusa on the Communication Regulatory Authority (ERC) and the Minister Jorge Lacão, and will wait by the way, the National Commission for Data Protection will react to this dissemination of images - now already available in television news and also spread in the Internet by customers of this agency.

In broadcasted images can be seen that there is a discussion between a group of about a dozen men. In the heat of discussion, one of them lifts his foot, but it can't been tell if someone got hitted.

Benfica, in the same statement in which complained the agency Lusa, states that the images shown, "show, once again, players from FC Porto in a state of great excitement."

The viewing of these images isn't also possible to say that a player of FC Porto beated anyone, although they show the squad leaved the dressing room to seek confrontation with someone who isn't identified, but ends up being unable to move.

The shock waves of this new controversy came to the League, which, without commenting officially, has indicated it could open an investigation, if there is enough data to do it.
The regulations stipulate that in case of serious injuries, they only prescribe after three years period, while usually have a year as limitation.
