Farías will stay until the end of season
Farías came to have a plane ticket to S. Paulo, but he´s not leaving for Palmeiras. It's end point, at least for the next four months.
The latest attempts by the club of Italia Palestra encountered the systematic reserves placed by FC Porto on the need to be provided in the several competitive fronts, and the only perspective that's left open points only to the possibility of negotiating "only after June,".
This is the second aborted attempt to bring "tecla" for Brazilian football, a situation which was appreciated by the player, because of his low-profile since coming to Porto, although with some periods of brilliance.
Farías never pressured to leave, but in recent times was reviewing his position and, with the end of contract (June 2011) approaching, starts playing with this situation.
FC Porto shield itself with a real problem: the weakness of attack in terms of options. Since a month ago, Jesualdo had only Varela, Falcao and Mariano forward.
Farías, Rodriguez and Orlando Sá injured, Hulk punished: three forwards for four tests, only a striker, Falcao. Bleak, wich Rodriguez' recovery relieves minimally.
Farías has not played since January 20, but is in final stage of recovery, and with the suspension of Hulk until 25 April, is the only substitute to Falcao, once Orlando Sa, also injuried, is still delayed in recovery.
No wonder FC Porto refused new Brazilian approach, after the failure of the business Kleber.
Farías, with a new agent, has had funding agreement with the Palmeiras, some in absentia of FC Porto, but we know how things work: Palmeiras gave him the values that Cruizeiro has refused, and Farías new representative Gustavo Arribas, had exceeded functions and powers, ensuring his immediate transfer, to the point of the player beeing announced as a certainty for Paulista Championship.
