Benfica General Assembly for revising club's statutes

Proposal of the committee charged with revising Benfica's statutes, requires 15 years of membership, with paid dues, to compete for a place in the social bodies.
Given this scenario, José Eduardo Moniz and José Veiga, Luis Filipe Vieira's strongest opponents, left out by 2020.

José Eduardo Moniz and Jose Viega studied last summer the possibility of starting a project, to take the reins of Benfica. However, ultimately they didn't went to the polls, leaving the way open for Luis Filipe Vieira's election.
The opposition referred to an intentional silence, still with the intention to stand for the next elections.

...Well, if the proposal from the committee set up to revise the Benfica sides' statutes, is adopted by the General Assembly, nor Moniz, nor Veiga (even Bruno Carvalho, last years defeated candidate) can't apply for any social seat in Benfica.

The explanation is simple: after entry into force of that new statutes, it's necessary to take 15 years as partner, with shares, to be settled as eligible for any of those places.
However, Moniz only in 2009 paid 31 years of delayed contributions, while Veiga only became a partner in 2004, when entered the club's structure. In this case, both of them can only go to the polls in 2020.

The General Assembly to discuss and approve the new statutes, will happen in day 23rd.
If enters into force, will been reduced to 15 thousand, the eligible members for post of Benfica's president.
