Portugal fell to sixth place in FIFA ranking

Portugal dropped one place in the FIFA rankings, to sixth position, in a table which is still headed by the Spanish national team, current European champions, announced today the governing body of world football.

Besides the fall of Portugal, in exchange for Germany, Argentina also fell one place to ninth, and saw England rise to eighth place.

Brazil and the Netherlands complete the podium of the highest-rated teams of FIFA ranking, in March.

Greece rose two places and now closes the top ten, as Egypt fell from 10th to the 17th place.

Among the other countries and territories of Portuguese official language, the selection of Mozambique continues to occupy the best position, 84th, despite falling two places, soon followed by Angola that amounted two places, standing in place 86.

Cape Verde still appears in list of the first one-hundred countries, on the 98th place (up two positions).
Macau, 188th place, Guinea-Bissau, 195 th, and Timor-Leste, 200th, held the positions already held in the February's ranking.
