Shakira, Black Eyed Peas and Alicia Keys at the opening of World Cup
The opening of the World Cup tends to be a party, and this time the music is thanks to Shakira, Black Eyed Peas and Alicia Keys.
These are some of the artists chosen to kick off the competition in Johannesburg, South Africa, on June 10th, announced FIFA.
"We are excited to have a show this size and these talents in the opening scenes of the first World Cup held in Africa," said Jerome Valcke, secretary general of FIFA. "It's a testament to the universal power of football and music."
Besides music, will also be presents several stars from the football biz.
The exhibition will be accompanied on the stadium by about 30 thousand people.
Tickets cost between 44 and 116 euros.
The Black Eyed Peas are one of the groups scheduled in program, and also are officially supporters of the Portuguese National Team. Is likely to sing the song "I Gotta Feeling", which became the anthem of the Portuguese team.
