Players drafted by Paulo Bento with no surprises for Bosnia


The national coach, Paulo Bento released this Friday the invited consignment to the decisive playoff with Bosnia-Herezgovina, for accessing the Euro 2012.
In a list without surprises, the emphasis falls on the return of Pepe, Danny and Fabio Coentrao to the national team.

The list follows the same line of the last calls of the coach and, as such, turned to let Jose Bosingwa out of the choices, something by which Paulo Bento was again questioned by the journalists present during the press conference.
"Mental issues," said the coach revealing one of the reasons for justify the repeated exclusion of the Chelsea's right defender holder.

Furthermore, remain on the list Nuno Gomes and Ricardo Quaresma, who receive once again Paulo Bento's confidence, along with Sereno, who also sees central defender Pepe returning to Portuguese selection after an injury.
Ruben Amorim, without played minutes in Benfica, was summoned again by Bento.

The national team begins by confronting Bosnia on November 11, in Zenica, in the same stadium that hosted the playoff game for the 2010 World Cup.
Four days later, Portugal receives the Bosnians at the Stadium of Light.

The called up 23 players' list:


Goalkeepers: Rui Patricio, Beto and Eduardo.

Defenders: Pepe, Bruno Alves, Rolando, Sereno, Joao Pereira, Fabio Coentrao and Silvio.

Midfielders: João Moutinho, Carlos Martins, Raul Meireles, Miguel Veloso, Ruben Micael and Ruben Amorim.

Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Hugo Almeida, Helder Postiga, Danny, Nuno Gomes and Ricardo Quaresma.
