Benfica wins Atletic Madrid in Youth League
Benfica won Atletico Madrid 2-1 in the second round match of Youth League, held this Wednesday in Madrid.
The Benfica's goals were scored by Joao Carvalho (34 minutes) and Diogo Gonçalves (89 minutes).
Juan Moreno scored for Atletico Madrid (78).
With this victory, Benfica leads Youth League's Group C with 6 points, after having thrashed the premiere Astana by 8-0.
Third in the group is Galatasaray, who had lost in his debut home to Athletic (1-3), and this Wednesday won to the visit to Astana (3-0).
Benfica, which was finalist in the first edition in 2013/14 (lost the final to FC Barcelona, 3-0) visit the third round, on 21st October, the Galatasaray.
