Portuguese beach football team trained in Praia da Rocha
Preparation of the selection for the Portuguese XIV Mundialito Beach Football is this week performed at sports complex in Praia da Rocha. A few days before Mundialito, which will be held from 7 to 9 August in Portimão, the 12 athletes of the portuguese national team train under the guidance of José Miguel.
First training in the portimonenses sands happened yesterday, by 18:00, an hour after arrival at Globe Hotel, where selection is located.An optimistic spirit is accompanying the team, which has been achieved excellent skills in tournaments in which has been participating.
National Team has recently added to its Palm, three victorys in the British stage for establishment for the European League of Beach Football . After defeating Norway (11-3) and Switzerland (10-6), Portugal secured first place in A division, ahead the Gallic team, led by former number 7 of Manchester United, Éric Cantona. Thus, the national team of "quinas" assumes itself as favorit in the Super Final of European League, which will run between 27 and 29 August, in Vila Real de Santo António.
Playing in Portimão, portuguese selection is confident in renewing the title in Mundialito. The team will face Brazil, Spain and United Arab Emirates. The kick-off to Portugal starts its on day 7 in a face-to-face with the Arab team.
In the enclosure, specially fitted for the Mundialito, it is expected a very lively and a lots of show. Entry will be, as usual, free for all holidaymakers and enthusiasts of this most spectacular modality of football.
