President of Sporting Braga make a complaint

Source of Sporting Braga says the president Antonio Salvador made a police complaint as soon as it learned of the alleged supply of money, allegedly made on behalf of the club to players of Leixoes, before the game with Benfica.

The President of Sporting Braga, Antonio Salvador, made no comments on the alleged supply of 50 thousand euros for players of Leixoes, to try to score against Benfica, in the game of 6th round of the I League football.

The news was revealed today by the newspaper "Record". Lusa tried to get a reaction of Antonio Salvador, but a source of Sporting Braga stated the club should react with a statement trough the "arsenalists" site on the Internet.

The same source confirmed too that Antonio Salvador reported the case to the police, hardly took note of it through the former president of Leixoes, José Manuel Teixeira.

The case revealed bny the daily sports reports on an alleged offer of 50 thousand euros, for Leixoes players, to score at the Stadium of Light in the meeting held on 26 September.
The game ended with a strong victory for Benfica, 5-0.

The offer has been made by football manager Jorge Teixeira, son of former president of Leixões José Manuel Teixeira, to the three captains of the Matosinhos' club (Nuno Silva, Hugo Morais and Joel) on behalf of SC Braga.

Also according to the newspaper, the prosecutor is investigating the case and Jorge Teixeira has already been made accused.

Sporting Braga is the current leader of football League, with 39 points, combined with Benfica, and 6 more than the 3rds, FC Porto.
Leixões is 14th in table with 14points, the same as Olhanense.
