Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Saturday's game

Bad news for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Spanish Committee for Sports Discipline (CEDD) has decided not to examine the appeal of Real Madrid, aimed to reducing the period of suspension of the Portuguese star, from two games-ban to one.

The decision was due to late arrival of the document into the hands of the federal officials - just this Friday - which means that even if the action were examined, as would happen only next week, were already after the completion of the two-match ban.

In this situation, Ronaldo will not play this weekend to face Espanyol, thus fulfilling the second match ban, having already missed the meeting with Deportivo.

It's to recalled that the Portuguese international hited with the elbow the Dutch Mitliga, in the clash of Merengues with Malaga, a gesture that earned the most expensive player in the world, a straight red card and the resulting two-game suspension.
