Evertons Midfielder arrested for driving drunken
The South African international Steven Pienaar, from Everton, was arrested in England for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The English club, opponent from Sporting in the League Europe, has not yet ruled on the case, but is not expected the athlete is removed from the match at Alvalade.
Pienaar was arrested early Sunday morning in central Liverpool, after Saturdays victory of Everton, that have beaten Manchester United 3-1.
Besides the charge of driving under alcohol's influence, the 27 years old is also charged of having not followed the directions of a traffic signal.
