Benfica TV channel coming soon to the U.S.

Benfica TV will be delivered "shortly" in the U.S., said the club's president, at a time when negotiations are still ongoing with potential distributors of the television chanel.

"Benfica TV is a structuring project for the club, an instrument that changed the way we communicate with members and supporters, a tool that allowed us to further enhance our brand, a way that enhances the interests of the club," Luis Filipe Vieira said.
The president of Benfica spoke at the inauguration of the House of Benfica of Danbury, the Northeast United States.

"We will begin to internationalize Benfica TV, which is why - I am sure - soon we will sign the contract for the distribution of our channel in the U.S.," he said Vieira.

The club chosen as priority markets for the television channel distribution, launched in late 2008, those where there are large numbers of Portuguese immigrants, such as USA, Canada, France or Luxembourg, and also the portuguese speaking countries.

It now comes to Cape Verde, and is intended to extend also to Angola, according to clubs official sources.
