FC Porto beats Naval and places to seven points from Benfica

FC Porto was today to three points behind Sporting de Braga (a game less) and seven from Benfica (one game plus ), by receiving and winning the Naval 1st May (3-0), at 18th Matchday of Portuguese League of football.

After the draw released by Benfica (1-1 in Setubal, Saturday) and on the eve of the game of Sp. Braga (at the bastion of "Red Lanterns" Belenenses), the "eleven" under Jesualdo Ferreira's comand, third placed, fulfilled, but with many difficulties and a much better result than the view.

The first part was soporific: Naval unwilling to take the space offered, FC Porto smoldering.
Only the 15' was the first pseudo-chance (Falcao tried a bicycle).
Until the 39th came along, unexpectedly, one goal, the goal wich freed Porto's pressure:
The Argentine Tomas Costa, opened the scoring following an indirect free kick inside the area, misunderstood by the referee Hugo, which marked foul by dangerous game of Davide, when was the Uruguayan Alvaro Pereira that lowered his head.

The last 45' were different. Naval risked (a little) and FC Porto came as close to Peiser. But the Naval also was showing (tight defense Helton to 59 ').

Then, in three minutes, everything was decided. At 77', Simplicio appeared isolated in the area and shot against Helton. Porto's fans didn't liked and whistled and, at times, returned to hover in Dragon a recent ghost (match against Pacos Ferreira).

But not to vary, the usual dual (Falcao and Varela) solved the problem.
At 80', Colombian striker made it 2-0 and ended the game. Varela's goal at 89' was a exaggerated bonus for the view.
