CNN breaks story on the Sporting Academy
CNN broadcasted on Wednesday in its World Sport program, a report on the Academy of Alcochete, the Sporting's laboratory of superstars.
The reporter was the Portuguese Pedro Pinto and the objective was to show the investment of lions in the training of young players, and how they work daily, so the infrastructure is recognized internationally as one of the best in Europe.
The focus of the work, which involved interviews with President Jose Eduardo Bettencourt, Pedro Mil-Homens, academy's administrator, and players Miguel Veloso and Matias Fernandez, was to show where they came from talents such as Figo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and many others.
As not all rosy, CNN blurred the painting, at the time the pivot of the World Sport's program, announced Pedro Pinto's entry, and the symbol that appeared on the screen was the Sporting ... of Gijón.
