Paulo Alves leaves Under 20 and returned to Barcelos

Paulo Alves is the new coach of Gil Vicente, returning to the League of Honor's club to replace Rui Quinta, Antonio Fiuza, president of Barcelos' club confirmed.

The coach, who commanded the Portuguese under-20, spun off from the Portuguese Football Federation, but relinquished to accept the challenge posed by the president of Gil Vicente.

It is thus found a replacement for Rui Quinta, that after successive home defeats, put his place at disposal, at the end of last Sunday's game with Desportivo das Aves, after which Gil Vicente was in 11th place overall with 25 points, 13 less than the leader Portimonense.

The presentation of Paulo Alves will be made Friday by 12:30 pm, at the press room from Estádio Cidade de Barcelos.

Paulo Lourenço Martins Alves is 40 years old, and was born in Vila Real.
After finishing his football career in 2005, at Gil Vicente, took over as sports director at the same club, and in 2006, went on to coach after Victor Oliveira's departure.
