Portugal Under-17 qualified for European Championship 2010
The Portuguese national team of football under-17, beated Croatia 2-0 in the third and final round, of the "Elite round" Group 2, in Sarajevo.
With this victory, Portugal qualified today for the final phase of the U-17 European Championship .
The goals of the Portuguese team were scored by substitutes Ricardo Esgaio (53 minutes) and Ivan Cavaleiro(80 +1).
With this victory, the team led by Rui Bento, totalized seven points, against Croatia's six, two of host Bosnia-Herzegovina, and onE of Romania.
The UEFA European U-17, in which the Portuguese team hadn't been present since 2004, will be played in May, Liechtenstein, while the draw is scheduled for April 7, in Vaduz.
