UEFA initiated disciplinary proceedings to Sporting vs Atletico Madrid
At stake are the incidents that preceded the March 18th game, the second-leg of League Europe's eights-final, in Lisbon.
An UEFA source informed that the Sporting "is accused of rioting and of throwing objects and pyrotechnics," as the Madrid club "is being investigated by disturbances."
The UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body meets on April 16th to make a decision on the process.
Before the game, which dictated the Sporting's elimination of League Europe (2-2 in Lisbon, after 0-0 in Madrid),groups of fans of both clubs stoned each others , in the immediate vicinityes of Stadium Jose Alvalade.
