Europe League: Weldon may miss Liverpool

Weldon, in principle, will not play in Liverpool. The striker who scored two goals against Naval, went out injured and is doubtful for the clash with Liverpool.

The Brazilian striker who scored yesterday the first two goals for Benfica in Figueira da Foz, resented an adductor injury, so it was replaced during the second half.
The assessment made after the game yesterday, doesn't allows hope of recovery, although before the afternoons training, is provided for a new screening to Weldon's physical problem.

Without Saviola, with Weldon also injured, Jorge Jesus has to decide between Eder Luis or Aimar, in this case as Cardozo backups man, given the incompatibility between Cardozo and Alan Kardec, which will be held to the course of the game for Liverpool.

Weldon's best season was in 2007/08, under the command of Jorge Jesus, when at Belenenses was the league third best scorer with 12 goals.

At Anfield with the thin edge of 1st hand's game ( 2-1), Benfica team prepares to suffer, but there is always the good example of 2006, when won there 2-0.
