Mario Fernandes in FC Porto sight

The young Brazilian central defender Mario Fernandes, from Gremio of Porto Alegre is in Fc Porto's orbit for next season. The news came via Italy, where the chain Sky assured yesterday that FC Porto would have already anticipated to Inter Milan, in the race for the 19 years old player, which acts both in central as the side defense.

Mario Fernandes' agent confirmed to radio TSF Fc Portos interest, acknowledging it had already had some conversations with Antero Henrique, general director of Porto SAD, while denying there are ongoing negotiations for a future transfer. "I've talked with Antero, who is my friend, but only because his curiosity. There is nothing official about FC Porto and Mario Fernandes," said Jorge Machado.

In Brazil, Mário Fernandes has been regular bet of Silas, coach of Gremio, and is seen as one of the future's greatest quarterbacks in the country.

After the depression, the central defender has been claimed in the Gremio, club with which he is under contract for another five years.
But his desire, admits businessman Jorge Machado "is coming to Europe soon".
