Pongolle will not play again this season
Sinama-Pongolle will not play again this season, informed the Sporting, in a statement.
The player goes through a serious family problem, due to illness of the eldest daughter. A situation that forced him to absent from the team trainings since early April.
The striker returned, this Thursday, for the drills, but should be away again. The heads of Sporting clarify the athlete's situation.
The statement reads that "given the known factors and his psychological state" Sporting release the player of the season's remaining games.
