V. Guimaraes forwards to protest the game V. Guimaraes - SC Braga

Vitoria Guimaraes board meets today to discuss the necessary documentation to proceed with the protest of the game with Sporting Braga, last Saturday.

The Guimaraes argue with a referee's technical error; at issue is the penalty's bid that gives Guimaraes the 2-2.
At the time, the referee showed a yellow card to the Braga's player, Rodriguez, for misconduct. Equivocated, Artur Soares Dias thought the Braga defender had seen a yellow before, and therefore gave him then the red card.
The error was eventually corrected through the intervention of the fourth official, and Rodriguez met all 90 minutes.

Paulo Pereira, Victoria's delegate to the game, formalized in the game's bulletin the intention to the protest.
Now the complete documentation must be received by the League's Disciplinary Committee until next Thursday.

V. Guimaraes' sporting director , Jose Pereira, speaking to Antena 1, has already shown that in club's opinion there's reasons to protest the game, and a final meeting will decide on the progress of it.
The official also noted that the problems for the next round are evident, further more with the lack of several players sent off in Braga.
