World Cup 2010: Portugal-Brazil broadcast in 3D

The Portuguese team will be entitled to one game broadcast in three dimensions, since the group stage matches of Brazil, which is grouped with Portugal, will be transmitted with this new technology.

The opening game of the World Cup this year, between South Africa and Mexico, will be the first game to be broadcast in 3D, at the Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Only five of the ten stages of the competition, will be addressed with this technology and FIFA, the main body of World soccer, has already ensured that these games will be broadcasted in 26 countries, and until now, only three television stations ensured its transmission.

Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Argentina, South Korea and Nigeria have two of their games broadcasted in 3D.
The same "luck" will not have other 10 teams, including England and France, which must to pass the competition's first phase, to gain access to this innovation.
