Carlos Martins had surgery to the nose
Benfica informed that Carlos Martins has undergone to a surgery to the nose (nasal septum) on Thursday and, therefore, lacked the training that day, as the session this Friday.
The Portuguese midfielder must serve a rest period at home, and should fail the tour to United States and Canada next week.
The training on Friday has been relaxed and took the dropper. The session began without the Brazilian players, who had to deal with the documentation for the trip, but still appeared later in the main lawn of the 'Seixal Center Stadium'.
Pablo Aimar was dismissed for the second day to deal with personal matters, but should be in the tour.
Nuno Gomes will accompany the president Luis Filipe Vieira in a visit to Timor, and also didn't trained, but then travels to the United States.
The Uruguayan Maxi Pereira, Paraguayan Oscar Cardozo, Brazilians Luisão and Ramires, Argentine Di MarÃa and Portuguese Fabio Coentrão are preparing their presence in the World Cup 2010, and are no longer working in the 'Light'.
