Fc Porto Sporting final result

FC Porto consolidated this Sunday the Portuguese 1st League leadership , after beating Sporting at Estádio do Dragão by 3-1.

A triumph that rewards Paulo Fonseca´s team effectiveness, who achieved to score the goals at the right times, and punishing, perhaps excessively, the Leonardo Jardim formation, who never turned the face to fight and glanced always their opponent.

On the pitch met the top two in the league, two points spaced. Those who´d win would be leader at the end of eighth round and both teams fought for the win from the first minute.
The result was decided in details.

The first detail would made the 1-0 on 12 minutes.
Mauricio fouled out of time Alex Sandro in the penalty area, and referee Artur Soares Dias had no doubts about to flag penalty shot.  Josue didn´t missed.

Porto had come in better, but in fact Sporting didn´t felt the goal. Gradually, the lions were up on the field and put into order the national champion.
Until the half-time were no more goals and the over 40 000 people who came to the stadium had no big reasons for satisfaction, to the low spectacle afforded by both teams.

In the second half it was more show and goals. The first one rendered the Sporting the tie.

William Carvalho took an Helton´s relief forwards, to lifting the visitors' bench, were 59 game minutes elapsed.

The Lions had no time to celebrate, however.
Virtually on the next play, Danilo invented a move to do it 2-1.

With the game into maximum acuteness, Sporting came back once again to seek the draw.
Almost got it by 67th minute, when Montero compelled Helton to make the hold of evening, but it was Porto wich managed the 3-1.

Varela took a ball loss to boot up down the left, passing to Jackson, taking the ball back centered by the Colombian and assisting with head to Lucho, wich not wasted the offer.

Had been done the final score. Sporting felt the third goal and managed no more to keep the strong rhythm that had laid in the game until then.

With five points ahead to Sporting and Benfica, FC Porto can now move on with confidence.
